ProofPlace provides listings, search, chat, community reviews, and reporting tools. Buyers, sellers, renters, and landlords arrange transactions themselves.
Accounts and age
- Marketplace accounts require age 16 or older.
- Rental actions require the age of majority for the listing province or territory.
- Users must provide accurate account information and protect access to their email.
- One account may act as buyer, seller, renter, and landlord; marketplace and rental ratings stay separate.
Listings
- Listings last 30 days and may be renewed manually.
- Sellers choose fixed price, open to offers, or free. Negotiation happens in chat.
- Marketplace locations show city/province; rental listings may show a full verified address and unit.
- Users must disclose known defects and have authority to advertise a rental address.
- Vehicles, services, event tickets, weapons, alcohol, tobacco/vape, cannabis, medication, adult content, IDs, online accounts, and counterfeit goods are prohibited in the MVP.
Reviews and speech
Users may publish honest opinions and unverified personal accounts. Evidence is not mandatory for every story. Deliberately false claims, fake evidence, impersonation, harassment, threats, discrimination, and doxxing are prohibited. A report triggers review; report volume alone does not prove a post false.
Enforcement and appeals
- Warning.
- Posting or chat restriction for 24 hours.
- Seven-day suspension.
- Permanent suspension.
Serious threats, identity fraud, banking-data exposure, or organized scams may skip lower levels. Decisions must show a reason, duration, and appeal option.
Payments, shipping, and support
ProofPlace does not process transactions, guarantee products, hold deposits, arrange shipping, or decide financial disputes. One-time platform support is optional, private, and does not affect rankings, badges, access, or moderation. It is not a charitable donation.
